What is Happiness?
Happiness does not depend on having more things, getting your own way or doing what you think it should. Happiness comes from knowing that while we cant make an unhappy person happy, we are constantly and inevitably affecting other peoples wellbeing. All our encounters with others lift their spirits or lower them. Taking this power seriously is a crucial way of growing into our highest potential. We need to shift our thinking from 'What will make me happy?' to 'How can I most positively affect the world around me?'. Being a source of happiness, support, interest, comfort and wellbeing for others will transform our own lives.

A new addition to our Family

Meet Mickey
A Tibetan Spaniel Cross, not sure what he is crossed with. He is a pound rescue puppy. About 1 year old. Mickey has settled in very well. Loves annoying our cat Ayla, although I think he really just wants to play with her. She looks at him as though he is scum and not worthy of her time. They seem to have settled into a pattern of sharing the snooza cushion. But Ayla is definatly the boss. If shes on the bed Mickey takes a wide path around it.
We gave Mickey a welcome puppy party, with his new puppy friends, I made a Peanut Butter Carrot Cake for him. It was a great success, enjoyed by all his pals. I also tried the Apple Cinnamon Drops. Very easy to make and Mickey loves them as a treat.
